Friday’s For Future: Roma

I was approached by Friday’s For Future - Roma, to create an illustration for one of the evenings of the Roman Summer.

In addition to other artists work, my illustration was featured as one of the many posters that covered the square. The question I had to answer with my art was, “Where does ecology and fashion / tourism and economy meet?

Because of this question, I illustrated the Palenqueras of Colombia. If you aren’t familiar with them, they travel from Palenque to Cartagena in these amazing colorful outfits carrying fruits and other things on their heads. People who travel to Cartagena, always go to see them. This illustration is also a tribute to these incredible women.
