Almonte Studio?

The studio was founded by the artist, Talisa Almonte and is comprised of just her and her amazing supporter, boyfriend, life partner, best friend and overall hype-man who you’ll see at most if not all markets and who helps paint some of the murals when he’s available. He’s the number one unofficial employee.

Established in March 2021 as an ode to the founders’ father's legacy. Fueled by her father's early introduction to the world of art and design, her LLC stands as a tribute that echoes his early influence on her artistic path and a continuation of his artistic heritage.

At Almonte Studio we pride ourselves at being adaptable while staying true to our style. We can perfectly combine client expectations and fulfill our dream of spreading our work in whatever form we can get our hands on. Be it: traditional custom paintings, digital illustration, murals and more!

Meet the founder,

Talisa Almonte

Talisa, a spirited Afro-Dominican artist, illustrator and muralist, calls the bustling borough of Queens, New York, her creative playground. Hailing from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and nurtured in the vibrant atmosphere of Miami, Florida, she honed her skills in fashion and fine arts at Design and Architecture Senior High. Her canvas spans the realms of fashion design, graphic design, and the traditional fine arts, crafting a vibrant tapestry of creativity.

Venturing to the Big Apple, she adorned herself with a BFA in fashion design from The Fashion Institute of Technology, embarking on a colorful journey through renowned fashion avenues, including jobs at industry titans like Victoria’s Secret and Gap. From graphic and surface design to trend forecasting, she immersed herself in the vibrancy of creative roles.

With a palette influenced by the hues of nature, the vivacity of TV and film, and the kaleidoscope of Latine culture, Talisa's heart beats for the promotion of BIPOC representation. Her art isn't just about colors; it's a beacon of empowerment, aiming to inspire and uplift by celebrating individuality, diversity, and the sheer joy her creations spark.
